Maverick Theatre Company pursues excellence onstage, off stage, and in the community to produce purposeful theatre for a diverse audience.
The department logo is seen and worn as a badge of pride in our department (not because of the stellar new Morton Ranch High School Maverick in the background but) because of the words around it. This slogan, which came from MTC students themselves, reminds us that success in our department is not defined by the number of trophies, ribbons, or honors your receive. It's defined by the character and passion of our students.

Show up ready to create, listen, collaborate, problem solve, and most importantly, learn.
We want students who will personally invest their best efforts regardless of the circumstances. All for one and one for all.
We'll meet you at whatever level ability you are. The only thing we ask in return is to follow the first two attributes first.
In the real workforce skills are essential, yes, but if you have a terrible attitude and aren't very dedicated would you really see yourself getting that promotion? This is why we focus on the character of our students behind the work. Creating a finished product, such as a play, is an experience that stays with students long after they have left, and often we see that with strong character comes strong performance.
Whether or not our students plan to pursue a career in theatre, we believe in the power of the arts to create better people. We hope you join us at one of our live events this year!
